A beautiful homestay...
Leo Home-stay is warm and welcoming. You will feel right at home upon arrival. Katut runs the show and is friendly and accommodating. He and his lovely family are the hosts with the most. They will direct you to whatever it is you need if they can't help you themselves. It is named Leo Home-stay after Katut's son Leo. This is suitable for families or friends and all travellers seeking sheer comfort and good vibes.
It is a safe space and very clean and lush and the beds are comfort plus. The rooms are top quality and practical some with pretty and spacious private bathrooms. There is complimentary tea and coffee available in the social area as well as a fridge full of Bintang beer or bottled water or soft drinks at a very low price.
Leo Home-stay is conveniently located amidst popular and tasty restaurant's, cafes and some retail outlets. Laundry service is available next door behind 'Apaka Bar' and there are a couple of small supermarkets a stones throw away. The beach ('Old Mans Beach') is only a scenic eight minute walk away. Here you will find a cashiers exchange place if you should need.. and a couple of exciting family friendly beach bar/ restaurants or if you want there are also the traditional street food stalls dotted along the main beach shore front... |
In a pocket of paradise...
Canggu is a village on the beach only about 30/40 mins from the airport, (approx. 250,000Rp taksi trip) 20 minutes north of Seminyak. Canggu refers to a large coastal stretch of about 8 km, running north from the village of Berawa (just north of Seminyak) to the village of Cemagi. Taking in popular beaches; "Batu Bolong Beach" Which is where LEO HOMESTAY is located, then further along is "Echo Beach," "Nelayan Beach," "Pererenan Beach," "Selasih Beach," "Seseh Beach" and "Mengening Beach". It is stunning in and around to check out.
Batu Bolong Beach translating to 'Old Mans Beach' is a true little pocket of paradise off the main track with an abundance of aliveness and things to do and see including some retail outlets for shopping, many popular and thriving eateries and clubs, yoga workshops and classes, surf schools, day spa's and therapy spa's, horse riding tours and a golf course all near by! Everything being very affordable unless of course it has been imported. |
The area is popular with many expatriates who choose to live here, and a large number of the cafe's and villas owned by overseas nationals are located here. Much of the area features quietly undulating terrain with the rice paddies that typify much of south central Bali.
If you hire a motorbike or scooter it is easy to get around to all the beaches. No one here gets road rage as there is an etiquette to riding/ driving that is essential to know or learn. Recommended to already have scooter/ motorbike riding skills before hiring.
Motorbike hire is approximately 50,000-100,000Rp. ($5/ $10) for the day. Surf boards are available to hire down at the beach...
